Daddy Where Art Thou?
Daddy, O Daddy where art thou, why did you abandon me in the darkness all alone?
Was it I, my sister, or maybe mommy who caused you to be consumed by fear and walk away from home?
Daddy we miss you, this I hope you know even if it is not that clear when we meet in passing.
It is in the times of the nightmares, the basketball tryouts, and the long wintry nights that keeps my heart gasping.
I wonder often and cry occasionally pondering is it something within that causes my heroes to leave.
See this has happened before so you would think that I would be alright but I still have a heart of flesh that does bleed.
Daddy I need you by my side, I pray every night that you will return into my life.
Even though she would not admit to it mommy needs you too, so remember the day you asked her to be your wife.
She could be pregnant, she knows the signs but she’s not sure so she hasn’t told a soul.
In any case she doesn’t want that to impact your decision she has faith that the Lord above can cause our hearts and family to be made whole.
Daddy I belong to you and you belong to me, I pray one day this revelation you’ll see.
For it is in that day that I will peer towards the front door and there you’ll stand with your arms wide open beckoning unto me.
